Faculty and Instructional Designers are charged with creating curriculum, lesson plans, and generating substantive content for students on and off-campus. The material these employees create may be used by students in a classroom, at home, or online.
Examples of faculty and instructional designer duties that intersect with copyright are:
- Professors making PowerPoint, or other, presentations to accompany lectures in class
- TAs tasked with populating Learning Suite with educational materials
- Instructional Designers (and IDAs) creating courses to be completed online
