If you would like to use a copyrighted work (e.g., text, music, video, etc.), you need permission from the copyright owner unless your use falls within the scope of fair use or another exception to copyright law. For campus use of copyrighted works, the BYU Copyright Licensing Office (CLO) will seek permission from the copyright owner on your behalf. To submit a request for the CLO’s copyright clearance services, fill out the appropriate form.
