Administrative Gatekeepers

Equip your office with skills to avoid copyright liability

The CCP: Who are Administrative Gatekeepers?

Administrative gatekeepers assist with the proliferation of copyrighted materials throughout the BYU community. They likely do not create original media content but help disseminate some copyrighted material through his or her area of employment.

Examples of administrative gatekeeper duties that intersect with copyright are:

  • Secretaries managing intra-department newsletters
  • Administrative assistants submitting printing orders for designed office materials
  • Managers who oversee copy centers of computer labs

This training will walk you through the Decision Trail questions to help you make informed copyright decisions.
